LEVEL 1: SA(Shadjam)
This is the elimentary level where candidates learn the basics of Shruti (Pitch), Raagam(a combination of swaras makes a raagam) and talam(Rhythmic cycle).

LEVEL 2: RI (Rishabham)
This is the Primary Level where candidates are made to understand the importance of singing basic exercises.
– They are taught to sing Basic exercises in different Raagas. (min 2 raagas)
– SWARAJATHIS in Raagam Bilahari & Khamas
– Jathi Swarams (3)
– Introduction To Varnams
– Learn the first 4 Aadi Taala Varnams.
COURSE DURATION – 24 weeks, with a minimum of 2 or 3 classes per week, each class being for 1 hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of this Course, Students:
– Are introduced to 2 new raagams and get a detailed understanding in it.
– Learn about the different composition structures- covered so far in Cathartic music.
LEVEL 3: GA (Gandharam)
Level 3 is a continuation in the deeper understanding of Cathartic Music. Under this category,
– Students move 1 step forward and are taught to practice the basic exercises in other Janya Raagas.
– Students continue with Aadi Taala Varnams, (learn atleast 2.)
– Along with Aaadi Taala Varnam, they are introduced to Ata Taala Varnams (learn atleast 2).
– They are introduced to Basic Keerthanams
– Learn the Basics of Theory in Carnatic Music.

COURSE DURATION – 24 weeks, with a minimum of 2 or 3 classes per week, each class being for 1 hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of this Course, Students:
– understand different raagas- Janya Raagas, Vivaadi raagas in detail.
– Learn popular Keerthanams & understand their structure.
– practicing basics in different raagas will serve as a foundation for Swaram Singing.
LEVEL 4: MA (Madhyamam)
This is the secondary Level. The courses covered are:
– Continuation of Aadi & Ata Taala Varnams.
– Popular and Important Trinity Compositions. (learn min 3)
– Bharathiyar Songs (learn min 5)
– Tamil Keerthanams. (learn min 3)
COURSE DURATION – 24 weeks, with a minimum of 2 or 3 classes per week, each class being for 1 hour.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On completion of this Course, Students:
– Learn the structures and differences in the Keerthanams composed by the Trinity.
– Can focus on diction of Sahithyams.
– Will be able to learn, not just compositions with intricacies – they are introduced to a mixed bag of compositions to balance the learning.
LEVEL 5: PA(Panchamam)
Students cover:
– Keerthanams (Continuation)- mixed collection.
– Introduction and continue with a detailed study of the important concepts of Carnatic Music Theory, which will include Various Taalams, Raga Lakshanam etc.

– How to Prepare for a Concert Performance
