Her musical journey started in Bengaluru when she was just 3 years old. She used to accompany her mother to her Veena class and started learning Sarali Varisai and up to Geetam.
Later, in 1987, in Chennai, she was introduced to Smt. Seetha Narayanan, a famous Vidushi who has been recently awarded The Sangitha Kala Acharya by Music Academy for her excellent service as a teacher of Carnatic Music, who tutored her for 8years.
She was then tutored by the well renowned Carnatic vocalist Sri. Neyveli Santhana Gopalan, where she learnt the nuances of Carnatic Music and Kutcheri style.
Now she settled in Coimbatore, a happening place for Carnatic Music.
She is a specialist in Manodarma that she had learnt from Sri.Koviladi Sri Madva Prasad, Trichy, who is an A grade artist, AIR, Trichy.
Her journey in learning continues till this date with an expert in the field of teaching Music, Dr.P.Umamaheswari, Principal of Government Music College, Thiruvaiyaru, Tamil Nadu.

She does concerts regularly at the Thyagaraja Aradanai conducted by Rama Baktha Samaj Coimbatore. She also performs every year at Muthuswami Deekshithar, Shyama Sastri, Purandara Dasar and Tamil Isai Vizha.
She also performs regularly in special slots at the famous Sri Thyagaraja Utsavam, Thiruvaiyaru.
In the year 2018, she rendered a solo performance on the occasion of Adhi Rudram conducted by Madurai Naharuthra Mahayagna Committee at Sri Lakshmi Sundaram Hall, Madurai.
As an alumnus of the esteemed Padma Seshadri school, Chennai, she has won several prestigious awards and was also selected by Bharat Vikas Parishad as finalists and gave a great performance at New Delhi which was well appreciated by the judges and audience.
All these learning and experiences have made her a highly confident teacher in the field of Carnatic music. She takes classes regularly for students at all levels. Her unique teaching methodology has brought her a lot of love and affection among the student community
